“Divine culture is the perpetual trademark that secures
the identity of a righteous people and secures the existence of our
eternal, living Yah.” -
Ben Ammi
“It is very easy to gauge the moral values and the
cultural substance of a society by the way its members act out its
culture. One’s culture does not only indicate present moral trends, but
also project the remembrances of that
society’s nationalistic past. We have come to understand that today’s
outlandish, amorphous, eccentric, ever-changing fashions reflect a society
ruled by materialism, controversy and denigration. Further, many world
cultures strive for this fallen standard and as a result, its members are
the models for its fashions, habits, fads and styles. Liberal western
ideals have become shaped a one world culture. However, we the members of
the African Hebrew Israelite Community, in our return to the Yah-based
culture, strive to present a different standard in ever facet of life. It
is important that our clothing, music, food and language reflective of the
glory and the higher standards of Yah in order that we may be pleasing
unto the source from which we have derived our substance and to offer an
alternative to those who seek integrity, respectability and honor
in their lives.
“We, the Sons and Daughters of Yah, understand that we
are the Holy Temples of Yah, and as such
have been set apart (sanctified) from the confusion existing in present
world imagery. We understand that Divine Culture is the perpetual
trademark that secures the identity of a righteous people and secures the
existence of our eternal, living Yah.’ We understand that it is our
sacred duty to embrace a culture that project and protect the uniqueness,
holiness, beauty and glory of ourselves, and thus Yah. When we are seen,
they must say: ‘these people have come forth from the House of Yah.” |
