WITHOUT MEAT AND MILK,
BUT WITH LOTS OF SOYA

"Members of our Community eat according to the diet of Man in the Book of Braysheet (Genesis). It states that we are not to eat meat or milk products."

"When we fast on the Shabat, in the summer we drink only water and in the winter we do not drink at all."

"I get up in the morning around 5:00-6:00, get dressed and pray. After that I drink two glasses of water; sometimes with a tablespoon of fenugreek, and then I go out to exercise. I run 45 minutes or walk in the mountains. Sometimes I play basketball or I go to the health spa. When I return home I eat breakfast that includes fruit and nuts. Sometimes I'll do a shake; it's very strong.

"During the day I eat nuts and almonds and for lunch I eat all kinds of natural soya products, like tofu, soya milk or okara (pulp from what is left over from the manufacturing of soya milk). I try to do phases of big salads and lots a fruit and organic vegetables.

"In the evening I manage to eat a little more heavier meal: soya beans, string beans, potatoes, cornbread, olive oil, pumpkinseed oil, and vegetable salad.  In general, we try to remain positive and not give into sorrow. Sweet things we almost don't eat at all. In place of chocolate, we eat carob. We also don't drink coffee, only herbal teas with brown sugar. And we do not touch alcohol or beer; we have something like wine we do from fruit that we prepare in our homes but everything is based in natural products.

Also, we do not smoke cigarettes and we wear only garments made from pure fabric, like cotton and silk, wool and linen. Garments of synthetic fabrics are never being worn; they are not healthy."
